SHOVEL RESEARCH is a small machine shop based in Portland, Oregon, run by SAL, a designer who excels at creating niche products for the bike industry.

This brake booster is just the thing that your ATB resto-mod has been missing.  Weighing in at a scant 25g, your steez to weight ratio will go through the roof!  With added touches like that M5 threading at the top and HUGE cutaways, you also gain some performance and practicality points.  We really can't find any faults, so what are you waiting for?

An ATB Barely There™ brake booster inspired by vintage designs and made into an ultralight decorative touch for your bicycle. At under 1oz each, they are mostly made of air, which is made from aluminum that I laser cut into blanks and then machined into, yes, mostly air. M5 mounting point at the top for one of those tiny round rechargeable lights. Sold individually.
